JKIA (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) has on Wednesday afternoon announced the grounding of flights. More flights to and from the airport are likely to be cancelled in the course of the hour.
The announcement follows a report of a possible bomb scare on a flight that was to depart from Nairobi to Johannesburg this afternoon. Passengers of the plane headed to South Africa have been asked to disembark following the scare.
Passengers at other airports such as Moi International airport in Mombasa have also been informed of the developments at JKIA.
