Easter season comes just but once a year. How will you celebrate? Are still thinking of an answer? This year all roads lead to the exotic Che’s Bay for the unique first ever Easter Charity Festival courtesy of Ababu Namwamba Foundation.

The Foreign Affairs CAS Hon. Ababu Namwamba EGH who is also the patron of Ababu Namwamba Foundation (ANF) will launch the event this Saturday, 20th April 2019.

In the Easter spirit of love and sacrifice, Ababu Namwamba Foundation (ANF) is hosting a unique festival for sharing and opening doors of opportunity. Dubbed the #ANFCharityFestival, the event will see sharing of donations to widows, orphans and the elderly, scholarships to select academically gifted students, as well as training and production opportunities for young people talented in performing arts.

The Foundation

The ANF was founded in 2003 and has consistently touched and transformed lives of hundred of people across Kenya.  It is an effective vessel for charity with key objectives targeting education, economic empowerment and talent growth.

Hon. Ababu calls himself the child of scholarship!

What to expect

The Easter Charity Festival 2019 going down at Che’s Bay on the shores of Lake Victoria in Busia County will be spiced with performances by both established and budding artists. In addition, there will be donation to be shared with all community members including orphans, widows and the vulnerable.

We expect the festival to be a time of family sharing and community service. This festival is the first in a series of buildup activities to celebrate the ANF 16th Anniversary in July 2019.

The Easter analogy

Looking back to divine sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us. He bore pain and agony, he was crucified and came to life again. That was great love and sacrifice. It is in this same analogy of Easter spirit of showing love, sacrifice and philanthropy that we strive to be a blessing to someone. The charity festival gives us such an opportunity to touch lives and share blessings with the needy people in our society.

Amazing  Guests.

We have amazing guests lined up for this great event. The event’s chief Guest will be H. E Dr. Joyce Laboso, Governor Bomet County. Others on the guest list include Kimilili Member of Parliament Hon. Dismus Barasa, the Foreign Affairs CAS Ababu Namwamba, the BUSIALeo CEO Deogratius Magero, Hon Justus Gaita, Deputy majority Leader of Nyandarua County, among other dignitaries.

City-to-Lake road trip

We shall be hosting great men and women at Che’s Bay for this special celebration of love, sacrifice and philanthropy. A group of friends of ANF will kick off the festival in Nairobi on April 18th with the City-to-Lake road trip from Nairobi to Che’s Bay.

How to support the event

Anyone can support the festival through material donations of items like blankets, clothes, shoes, foodstuff, seeds, books, medicine or construction materials like iron sheets, tiles, timber, bricks or nails.

Partners could also offer training or recording opportunities for a youngster with raw talent in music, acting or dancing. We also accept cash donations to the ANF Scholarship Fund that pays fees for underprivileged but academically gifted children.

The cash donations can also support the Foundation’s Economic Empowerment Program for youth and women groups engaged in income generating activities.
