“It is back bigger, better and more generous!” words that Talanta Express chairperson, Mr. Paul Olaka, a Busia county resident and native uses to describe the annual Talanta Express infotainment event that occurs yearly during December holidays that come 28th of December will be celebrating season Three or rather the third anniversary. This “magical exciting exclusive talent showcasing” event, as described by the Talanta Express committee will take place at the Nambale Magnet school along the busy Mumias Busia highway that is approximately 600metres from Nambale shopping center towards Busia. It is scheduled to begin at exactly 9a.m. all the way to 6:30p.m.

According to the Talanta Express organizing secretary, Mr. Edward Juma, also a native of Busia County, this year’s audience is urged to buckle up for at least nine hours of active entertaining, rib cracking, emotional, inspiring, creative and talent nurturing experience of a lifetime by individuals and groups from within Busia county.

“Among the performances will be comedy, individual and group dances, singing, modeling, acrobatics and many more. All are welcome, says Mr. Juma. It does not end there as outstanding performers and artistes will walk out with enticing offers and prizes and according to Mr. Olaka, ‘no performer will walk out empty handed’.

The Nambale Constituency Law maker is expected to attend alongside other top notch political, administrative and religious leaders. “This is also a chance for the Busia youth to urge for support of their various God given talents as youth unemployment has become rampant in Kenya”, says Mr. Sylvester Babu, the committee’s secretary.

Talanta Express which takes place every December holidays was first done back in 2014 and since then it has attracted more and more youths on board on the verge of showcasing their various creative abilities. It is organized by young minds from various parts of Busia County who according to them, came together for the purpose of uniting and developing their fellows through their various talents in Busia County since charity begins at home.
