Homabay County carries the day at Miss Tourism Kenya 2016
The popular Miss Tourism Kenya competition that has been ongoing for several months came to an end on the morning of June 19 in Vihiga County.
With over 40 participants from different Counties in Kenya, the ladies were exposed to a variety of categories in which they showcased their talents and potentials.
The ladies had been in the Boot Camp two weeks prior to the final day. As they came on stage, each representing their own Counties in cultural and casual wear, Showcasing their talents and intelligence, only one winner was expected o carry the day.
Just before the winner was announced, the top 10 ladies from Kwale,Kajiado,Uasin Gishu,Bomet,Meru,Samburu,Busia,Homa Bay,Nyeri and Muran’ga counties were grilled through a question and answer session.
They were asked to present how they will market Kenya as a tourism destination based on the six pillars of Tourism. Each of the competitors did their best and when the moment came…….
The 2nd runners up was the contestant from Bomet County, 1st runners-up came from Uasin Gishu County and the Winner was Ms Winny from Homabay County.
