Martha Karua, the once fierce Minister for Justice and legal affairs and a 2013 presidential candidate has on many occasions been seen in the company of Raila Odinga and the CORD Coalition.
Martha Karua’s relationship with Raila Odinga has raised eyebrows after she came out to support most of the issues raised by the CORD Coalition, led by Raila.
The former Minister has publicly spoken about the need to have IEBC commission under Issak Hassan re-constituted. She has also appeared in several CORD press conferences calling for the same.
In a bid to clear the air on this matter, Martha Karua for the first time spoke about her involvement in CORD’s activities. Speaking at an interview by NTV on Thursday evening, Karua said she doesn’t see anything wrong in supporting CORD on matters she believes need to be addressed.
However, she confirmed that she hasn’t joined Raila Odinga’s CORD just yet. ”I have my party which I will use in the 2017 general election” she said.
”I will vie for the presidency in 2017 on my party of NARC Kenya” Kenya’s Iron Lady clarified.
