Norman operations have resumed at Nambale Sub County hospital after water was disconnected over nonpayment of bills
Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has blamed the hospital management for failing to present the bills for payment immediately it was received.
The delay led to the disconnection of water over Sh67, 000 outstanding bill, thus paralyzing services at the health institution.
The Governor said he had ordered the Chief Officer in the Department to launch investigations into circumstances that led to delays in presenting the bill for payment.
Ojaamong said water and health departments are fully devolved and urged the Chief officers in related departments to be consulting each other before taking action on activities of the other.
However, the Governor said water was reconnected on Tuesday with normal services resuming.
Before water was reconnected the Governor said his Government availed two water bowsers for use by the patients.
Ojaamong said his government last week held a training for all CECs, Chief officers and directors on how to achieve set target.
