Vincent Sidai who is seeking a gubernatorial seat claimed that he had already wood Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba and Busia Senator Amos Wako to his side.
” I am ready with my army to complete the race. If we want assistance we shall bring ourselves or we give it elsewhere.
I learnt a lesson after losing the seat to Governor Sospeter Ojaamong which I don’t regret. I thought I will win but it was never to be.
Speaking at his Machakusi village home during the burial of Clement Murunga, 62, Sidai said he will remain Eng Sidai whether he wins the gubernatorial seat or not.
Amukura West Member of the County Assembly Abiud Ochilang’ole told Sidai to shelve his ambition until 2022 and allow Ojaamong to complete two terms.
” We shall back your candidature in 2022 and not 2017. We need you to reciprocate that gesture by backing Ojaamong,” he said.
Flanked by the Chief of Protocol in the Governor’s office, Pekol Mrade, the MCA said Akiriamas dispensary which was built through Ward Development Fund will start operations on Tuesday, adding that nurse has already been posted.
He also revealed that 353 students from his ward benefited from the Education bursary with each receiving between Sh5,000 and Sh20,000.
Pekol who announced he will be in MCA race in 2017 said Ochilang’ole is effective in his leadership but he (Pekol) is effective and efficient.
